Voici maintenant la règle générale : à chacun des quatre stands, il y avait au moins un marchand, et les marchands sont Anikó, Benedek, Cirill, Döme et Enikő. Le stand des meubles s’étend des lignes 7 à 9 ; Anikó est au stand des horloges, Döme dans la ligne 1, Enikő – dans la ligne de laquelle il y avait une amphore, et les amphores sont en R3C4 et R6C9 – dans la ligne 3 ou 6, et dans la colonne 7 le stand n’a que le miroir, donc son marchand ne peut être que Cirill. Le stand des livres a lui aussi besoin d’un marchand ; Anikó, Döme et Benedek ne peuvent pas non plus l’atteindre, et Cirill est au stand des meubles, donc c’est Enikő. Le stand des livres n’a aucune case dans la ligne 3, donc elle est dans la ligne 6, en R6C1 ou R6C2 – et R6C2 est à côté de la bibliothèque : <b>Enikő est en R6C1</b>. Le stand des jouets a aussi besoin d’un marchand ; ses cases de la ligne 2 sont hors d’atteinte (la ligne 2 est celle d’Anikó ou de Vászoly), donc seul Döme ou Benedek (en R1C7) peut en être le marchand. Benedek en R1C7 prendrait la ligne 1 à Döme, donc c’est Döme, et la colonne 7 est celle de Benedek : <b>Döme est en R1C6</b>.
