Vilja war in die Hütte gegangen, um den Ofen zu schüren; dort sollten sich die Gäste vor der Abfahrt aufwärmen. Im Fenster der Hütte ging nie das Licht an, und als Aino nachsehen ging, fand sie die Besitzerin tot neben dem Ofen.
