The Creator House

The Lumen House is a lakeside villa where the Lumen creator collective lives and films. Tonight they celebrated their millionth follower with a party streamed live from the Studio – until Vesper, the founder of the house, was found dead there, beside the ring light. Nine people were in the house: four creators, three of the crew and two guests. One of them is the killer. Read every statement, find everyone’s square on the plan and unmask the murderer – alone with Vesper in the Studio.

Rules

  1. The house rule of the party stream: no area held more than two people.
  2. Every row and every column holds exactly one person. As soon as you place someone, cross out their whole row and column.
  3. “Beside” = directly left, right, above or below, and in the same area. Squares with objects (cameras, the ring light, desks, the stove, the fountain, trees…) cannot be occupied; the chairs, the bar stools, the sofas, the beanbags, the beds, the loungers, the doormat, the bench and the pool water can. A corner of an area is a square of that area that lies in one of the four corners of the smallest rectangle enclosing the area – in its top or bottom row and, at the same time, in its leftmost or rightmost column.
  4. Directions refer to rows and columns, not to the same line: “exactly one row north of him was a woman” = the person in the row directly above is a woman, in any column; “north of Ava” = in a row further up, in any column.
  5. The murderer was alone with the victim: nobody else was in that area.

  • Ava (vlogger): She was beside the parasol.
  • Bastian (gaming streamer): He was sitting on a beanbag.
  • Carmen (dance creator): She was beside a beanbag.
  • Dylan (cooking creator): There was a guest in his area. He was in a corner of his area.
  • Eloise (manager): She was south of Ava.
  • Forrest (video editor): Exactly one row north of him was a female creator.
  • Gloria (camera operator): She was not alone in her area.
  • Hamish (the sponsor’s representative): He was not beside a counter. He was in a corner of his area.
  • Iona (chat moderator): She was in the Hall. She was alone in her area.
  • Vesper (the founder of the house): The victim. She was found in the Studio, beside the ring light – alone with the murderer.
